i guess you're right!

I am running 3 aquariums right now, and I am trying to do things a bit different in each tank. So i thought it would be great to see how fish and coral respond in each tank.

I have seen several iPhone apps designed for this, but they are all paid so I am trying to find a way on my own to enter the data on my mobile and have it sync'd.

Hi Scott,

For logging purpose, I just use MS Excel, since all the water parameter measurements or the addition of additives/coral foods are still done manually. :)

Items that I note on the log are water parameters (pH, KH, nitrate, phospate, calcium), additives and coral foods. Just make it simple, the most left column is for date, next to it are water parameters & additives. The most right column I put 'remarks' column.

HTH, Scott.

Thanks!

I am also keeping track of additives to see their effect on the tank. Especially, I am interested to see how MB7 and Reef Bio fuel make a difference.

Also, i am cycling a new tank with MB7. I have heard that it will speed up the process significantly, so we'll see.

hey, could you kindly inform us about anything that you already found out from your logs? such as the effects of this chemical and that additive... etc... thank you. :)

Definitely will do!

The tank has been cycling for a few weeks now, for a while ammonia was stuck at about 3ppm. Then i started adding MB7 and within 3 days ammonia was at 0. NO2 is still high, but that will be coming down as well. So far, I think MB7 significantly speeds up the cycling process.

I will give it some more time and post more detailed info.

I Have Buy This Software (Aquarium Lab) But I'm Never Using It Due To I haven't a time to cek the parameter continously.....

I think reffer in Indonesia rarely using software to monitor the tank because of limited test kits..

@ wardizt

I wasn't talking about a software. I was referring to a new line of additives Red Sea came out with recently called Reef Care Program. check out the link.
