The following statement has been sent to me by by the Chairman of Naxandra Corporation regarding the fake, sub-standard units being manufactured.
"Lately we understand there have been copycat Ecoray units in the market.* We can assure you that these were not assembled by the Ecoray factory, but by another factory that copied our design.** Although they can copy our design, the LED chips used in Ecoray cannot be easily copied.* Ecoray uses only highest quality high power LED chips that will last 50,000 hours without any significant degration in brightness.** We use LED chips that can be driven at 700 mA (2 watts) but we only drive it at 350 mA (1 watt) assuring long lasting operation without losing any brightness.* Many factories, in order to cut costs, use smaller and lower quality LED chips at higher current, meaning they will lose as much as 50% of their brightness after only 4000 hours of use (about 1 year of use).* At that time, you will need to replace the entire quantity of LED’s.**
